Every Settlement Day
Every business day, Breeze runs a three-step settlement process on your account.
Settlement day arrives
Breeze evaluates your total Settlement Balance accumulated since the last settlement.
Funds from Mon settled by Thu (T+3)
Escrow top-up (priority)
If Payout Escrow is below the Minimum Balance, funds are allocated to bring it back up first. User withdrawals are always protected.
Top-up = Minimum Balance − Current Escrow
Merchant settlement
The remaining balance is deposited to your bank. If the top-up consumed all funds, no settlement is made that day.
Your settlement = Settlement Balance − Escrow top-up
Worked example
| Amount | |
|---|---|
| Settlement Balance (available) | $68,450 |
| Payout Escrow — current | $48,000 |
| Payout Escrow — required (Minimum Balance) | $75,000 |
| Top-up needed | $27,000 |
| You receive | $41,450 |
Calculation: $68,450 − $27,000 top-up = $41,450 settled to your bank
What if Settlement Balance isn't enough? The escrow top-up takes full priority. All funds go to the Payout Escrow and no merchant settlement is made that day. See Settlement FAQ for more scenarios.
